Reading sources & reuse · 阅读来源与使用条件

Each layer below retains its own edition, attribution and reuse conditions. These notices do not change the licence of another component.

Latin and English witnesses

The canonical Latin retains Greenough’s 1881 edition through Perseus. Williams’s 1910 English cards are independent context passages, not line-aligned translations. Edition metadata and links accompany the canonical reader.

Morphology · 形态标注

Annotations derive from the CIRCSE Linking LASLA corpus – LiLa LemmaBank CoNLL-U Plus resources, pinned to commit c2e2bb6500b5ef9c6f5f31df6774423e9bb9fddc. Credit: LASLA, Université de Liège; LiLa linking and conversion, CIRCSE, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. The linking team named by the repository comprises Marco Passarotti, Paolo Ruffolo, Eleonora Litta, Giovanni Moretti and Margherita Fantoli.

The repository describes underlying LASLA texts as shared by agreement and explicitly licences its described resources CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. This notice concerns that specific repository snapshot; it makes no general redistribution claim about other LASLA collections. See the pinned source and copyright notice.

Magalia groups source token components, folds case, diacritics and u/v for matching, and projects only whole verses whose surface tokens correspond to this Latin witness. Other occurrences are labelled candidates. Source editorial differences and alternative lemma links remain visible; no dependency parse or independent philological approval is claimed. Redistribution of these annotation derivatives requires attribution, a licence link, notice of changes, noncommercial use and the same licence for derivative contributions. These conditions travel with the morphology data and relevant shared readings.

Quantity and dictionary · 长短音与词典

The quantity overlay credits Christopher Francese and Meghan Reedy, Vergil: Aeneid Selections, Dickinson College Commentaries. Only 504 verses with matching canonical letters receive quantities; others remain unmarked. See DCC’s Attribution-ShareAlike reuse notice.

The dictionary credits Henry S. Frieze, revised by Walter Dennison (1902), digitized and revised at Dickinson in 2014 by Christopher Francese, Lara Frymark and Tyler Denton; its frequency figures credit LASLA. Magalia normalizes lookup keys and retains source definitions, counts and duplicate-row alternatives. The published DCC vocabulary is CC BY-SA 4.0; see DCC’s source credits and reuse licence. This licence covers the published vocabulary component, not the separate CIRCSE morphology layer.

Chinese companions · 中文辅助

The line-aligned supplement comprises 26 original teaching drafts spanning 561 Latin verses. It remains labelled draft and unreviewed. Two legacy opening passage companions are retained separately. Neither constitutes a complete translation or a line-aligned modern copyrighted translation. Their wording has not received independent linguistic approval; source roles remain separate.
