The Athenian republication of Drakon's homicide law (410/409 to 400/399 BCE). Preserved in a single inscription; the substantive Drakonian law (seventh century BCE) is reconstructed from later orator quotations (Dem. 23, Antiphon, etc.). The republication's prescript follows the standard mid-fifth-century formula (Akamantis prytany, Philomelos secretary, Isotimides chairman, Diognetos proposer).[ZH pending]
