The Gracchan-era statute (123 BCE) establishing the standing court for trying extortion charges against Roman magistrates and senators. Preserved on the front face of the bronze Tabula Bembina (the back face carries the Lex agraria, Crawford RS 2). The matrix-hub corpus's earliest preserved Latin statute (LEX genre, distinct from the SC). Per Crawford 1996: "Roman statutes do not have a prescript in the sense of an explanatory preamble."[ZH pending]
