The five editions of Roman Republican statutes and decrees span 147 years from the SC de Bacchanalibus of 7 October 186 BCE — the earliest preserved senatus consultum on a bronze tablet from Tiriolo in Bruttium — to the SC de Plarasensibus et Aphrodisiensibus of 6 October 39 BCE, passed during the Second Triumvirate with both Antonius and the young Octavian backing the grant. Between these two SCs sit the Gracchan Lex repetundarum of 123 BCE (Crawford RS 1) and the Caesarian-era Tabula Heracleensis of c. 45 BCE (Crawford RS 24), both preserved on the same Tabula Bembina bronze.
